Tonight’s ciceron is the wine author Åsa Johansson who lives in Italy since 18 years. She visits Piedmont several times a year and she will take you on an easy-going and interesting journey among the region’s good wines, steep vineyards and strong personalities.

Who is Åsa?
Åsa Johansson went to Italy in 2001 because she loved Italian film from the fifties and sixties and wanted to learn Italian. It was love at first sight! After graduating from Political Science and Journalism at the University of Florence, she now writes about wine and travel for Swedish and Norwegian newspapers such as Allt Om Vin, Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Expressen, RES, BKWine Magazine, Apéritif, etc.
Åsa arranges and guides specialized wine tours to Italy since 2007. The trips are arranged by BKWine and thanks to these and many press assignments, she visits hundreds of vineyards every year. Åsa is currently studying for the WSET Diploma course in London. She has visited all twenty regions in Italy and is travelling most of the time during the year. She comes regularely to Sweden to keep courses and master class in Italian wines.
